PHOTOGRAPHY
the majority of my work was taken during my time abroad in Paris, France where themes of racial inequity, class struggle and the appearance and appropriation of the natural world, (all special interests of mine,) were on my mind and inspiring my work.

DIGITAL WORK
my interest in creating work digitally began in 2020 when the world became increasingly aware of the Covid-19 pandemic. With the increase in isolation and the necessity of online presentations - whether of online security, surveillance, record keeping or otherwise - it was clear there was a strong push for more permanency. Uncertainty was gaining traction and stability was weaning. For me, that sparked an interest in live-streaming (via OBS) as a way in which to preserve the sanctity of the now and capture the fleeting nature of the world.
 When exploring what the about me page would look like I prototyped this idea toying with the concept of world building within in a 2D space |  This was a live video project where I live-streamed predictions for people that were online and responding to my prompts on Twitch |  Motivated by a shift toward digital platforms during the pandemic, online surveillance was an idea I was interested in incorporating into my livestream content. |

COLLAGING
as my preferred medium, I have transitioned from physical creations due to access to resources and space to creating digitally (primarily on photoshop). I find overlap between digital work and my collages as I consider it a general part of my style and preference through most of my visual work. I hope to tell stories or evoke quailia with my collages as I use them to capture the floating feelings and images I experience the world in.

SKETCHING
I primarily utilize sketching as a way to put ideas to paper quickly but found it to be a peaceful and exciting process to explore the medium in more depth in a classroom setting. I originally wanted to become more skilled to create more comprehensive engineering designs but found that it sprouted a newfound interest in art and creativity which I found key to all of my other work as creative confidence came to play a huge role in all of my interests.
